Community Closet
Women seek a constantly updated look. Currently, they turn to fast fashion for its cheap price and endless variety but it has devastating effects on our environment. What’s worse, the majority of clothes go unworn, creating a vicious cycle of excessive waste. With Community Closet we aim to transform women's relationship to new clothes by optimizing an "access over ownership" model, meaning she gets the fresh looks she craves at the same affordable price, for a fraction of the impact on the environment. Community Closet is a response to Nike + MIT CoLab Innovation Challenge.
